6 Green Baby Care and Cleaning Tips

6 Green Baby Care and Cleaning Tips

Babies take up lots of time. You have to feed, dress, rock, and comfort your baby. They are also very messy. You wouldn’t want to use harsh cleaners in your baby’s room, or wash the various toys, pacifiers, hygiene products, with them. The Green Baby Care cleaning kits are great for keeping baby’s toys clean, sanitary, fresh, and smelling good.

Baking soda is the star when it comes cleaning out your children’s possessions. You can safely clean the crib mattress and crib with a damp sponge that has been sprayed with baking powder. Baking soda is also great for use on playpens and changing tables. Make sure you rinse well!

6. Toy Care

Baby toys can become grungy and stale quickly. You can clean non-cloth toys the same as your crib or mattress. Use a damp sponge, or a cloth with baking soda. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Sprinkle the cloth toys with baking soda, and let them sit for at least 15 minutes. Next, brush the baking soda off with a handheld vacuum.

Toy Cleaning Time-Saver

It can be very difficult to clean all of your children’s toys by hand. To cut down on cleaning time, place a number of small stuffed animals inside a large bag. Add a generous amount baking soda to the bag. You can close the bag tightly to prevent any flying objects and then give the bag a shake.

5. Odor Patrol

Bake soda can be used to remove lingering odors on cloth strollers and car seat covers. Vacuum thoroughly after waiting for 15 minutes.

You can keep your diaper pail smell fresh by covering it with baking soda. You can sprinkle some baking soda on the top of each diaper you add to the pail.

4. Rugs

It is possible to clean and deodorize any baby’s accidents that have occurred on your rug or carpet. To do this, you will need to soak up the liquid with a sponge/rag. Sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet and allow it to dry. After drying, vacuum the area.

3. Combs and Brushes

You can give baby’s personal hygiene items, such as baby brushes and combs a thorough clean by filling your bathroom with warm water and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Use the water to rinse the brushes and combs. Dry them well.

2. Baby Bottles

Baby bottles can be cleaned and deodorized by filling them up with warm water and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Close, shake vigorously, and then rinse.

To refresh your bottle brushes and nipples, soak them overnight in 4 tablespoons baking soda mixed with 1 quart warm water. Then rinse the bottle and wash it as usual.

1. Baby Laundry

Babyhood means you have a lot of laundry to do, even your own. Keep spit-up stains out of your clothes by using a damp cloth that has been dipped into baking soda to wipe them off as quickly as possible. The stain will not set before you can wash your clothes.

While many parents may not have adopted eco-friendly practices for their own laundry, baby’s laundry is done using only natural and nontoxic products. To give your detergent or laundry soap an extra boost, you can use baking soda. To make your detergent or soap cleaner and more gentle on the environment, you can add 1/2 cup baking powder to it.
